Dead Blow Hammers Information
Dead Blow Hammers are a type of soft mallet, typically constructed with a hollow interior which is filled with a dense material like sand or steel beads. Even though they are heavy and strike with the force of a large tool, using a
dead blow hammer is like dropping a large bag of sugar; it doesn't rebound or make painfully loud noises when used on solid surfaces like metal, and gives the operator much more control than other heavyweight hammers. Therefore they are commonly used for applications like constructing metal racking, tapping woodworking joints into place and undertaking automotive repair tasks whenever there is a risk of damaging neighbouring components from hammer rebounds.
